A safe place where animals heal and children learn compassion.
A rescue. A sanctuary. A place with purpose.
Hidden Bee Animal Rescue, DBA Hidden Bee Farm, sits on a historic farm established in 1843 in the heart of Middle Tennessee. What began as an old farmhouse and overgrown pasture has become a sanctuary for animals in need and a place of real learning for the children who visit.
Many of the animals who arrive here stay for life — due to age, health, trauma, or special needs. Others come to us after neglect, injury, or difficult circumstances. From the moment they arrive, they are surrounded by safety, care, and patience.
We cannot change their past. But we can give them a future filled with stability, dignity, and kindness.
Rescue, rehabilitate, and educate.
Hidden Bee Farm exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong sanctuary to farm animals in need, while educating children and families about compassion, responsibility, and humane animal care.
We believe animal welfare is complex. People make different choices about food and lifestyle, and our role is not to judge — it is to educate and inspire thoughtful, humane care for animals in every setting.
We are also deeply inspired by the work of Dr. Temple Grandin, whose contributions to animal welfare and advocacy for individuals on the autism spectrum have transformed how the world understands both animals and people. Her work reminds us that empathy, structure, and thoughtful care can change outcomes.
For animals and for people.
Hidden Bee Farm is more than a rescue. It is a place where animals recover from trauma, where children learn gentleness and responsibility, and where families witness what care and patience can accomplish.
For our own family, this farm has been a place of healing too. Our son Jackson, who is autistic and has epilepsy, has formed a deep connection with the animals here. His bond with them reflects something we see often: animals and children who have faced challenges understand each other in quiet, powerful ways.
There are joyful days and heartbreaking ones. We celebrate recoveries and mourn losses. But every animal who comes through our gates experiences safety, respect, and love.
“Animals and children who have faced challenges understand each other in quiet, powerful ways.”
Jackson is the founder and inspiration behind Hidden Bee Farm. His connection with the animals here — the patience, the presence, the quiet understanding — is part of what built this place and continues to shape everything we do.
100% donor-funded. Every dollar counts.
Hidden Bee Animal Rescue is entirely donor-funded. Every contribution goes directly toward veterinary care, feed, shelter, and the daily needs of animals who cannot care for themselves. There are no government subsidies and no adoption fees. Just people who care, giving what they can.
We invite you to visit Hidden Bee Farm.
Come to one of our events or schedule a visit and see the sanctuary for yourself. It is not a polished theme park. It is a working farm. And that is exactly why it matters.
