Sweet as Can Be
Meet Brownie – a mixed breed Pygmy goat and beloved member of our animal family at Hidden Bee Animal Rescue/Sanctuary. As a castrated male, Brownie is called a “wether,” which means he can’t reproduce and is more social and docile than an uncastrated buck.
At our sanctuary, we prioritize the safety and well-being of all our animals, which is why we do not allow intact adult males, or bucks, on the farm. Bucks can become aggressive and territorial, especially during mating season, which can pose a risk to other animals and humans in the vicinity. In addition, they require specialized care and a separate living space, which we are not currently equipped to provide.
Brownie is a weaker goat and has been partnered with our other weaker goat, Sophie. The two have formed a close bond and are doing well together. Not much is known about Brownie’s past, but we do know that he came to us from another rescue that needed more room. Brownie is a sweet and affectionate goat with wonky brown hair, and he will follow you all over. He has become a cherished member of our animal family.
