Bonnie
A Sweet Old Girl
Bonnie at Hidden Bee Farm Animal Rescue.
Bonnie came to us in the twilight of her years. We knew from the beginning our time with her would likely be short, but that never makes it easier. She was a sweet old girl, and we loved her dearly in the short time we had with her.
After Bonnie suffered a stroke, we made the difficult decision to let her go peacefully. She was not alone. She was loved, and she will always be part of Hidden Bee Farm.
Some animals come here for years. Some only for a little while. Every one of them deserves kindness, safety, and a place to land.
This is one of the hardest parts of rescue, especially when you open your gates to senior animals and the ones others pass over. Not every story ends with years ahead. Sometimes the gift is simply peace, comfort, and being cared for at the end.
Bonnie had that here.
Even when our time with an animal is short, the care is still real. Feed, bedding, daily care, veterinary support, and end-of-life costs like euthanasia are part of giving them peace and dignity when they need it most.
We are grateful for the time we had with Bonnie, short as it was, and grateful she knew care and love at the end of her life.
Enjoy those green pastures, old girl.
